For those who like phenomenal bike paths, there is a park for cyclists in the heart of Pohorje - Bike Park Pohorje. The track as it is in this part represents the legendary track of the downhill world championship since 1999. If you are one of those types who like adrenaline and extreme sports, this will surely be your favorite place near Maribor, within the Pohorje picnic area. The people who work on the trails always arrange them and introduce some novelties so that the trails are always attractive and tempting to visit.
The paths are arranged and marked by colors.
• The family trail is a green trail, 4.7 km long, the descent is 705 meters. This trail is suitable for those with less experience and for family descents.
• The Flow trail is a 4.9 km long blue trail with a descent of 710m and can be used by those with little experience.
• The red trail is marked with the same color as its name - red. It is 2.9 km long and 480 m downhill. This track is for those who love speed, it is recommended for those who have experience and who can handle adrenaline well.
• The World cup track is a 1.8km long track and it is a black track and it is 1.8km long. This is definitely the most complicated and difficult track. It is exclusively for those who have experience and who have no fear. We can say that this is a track for professional drivers.
Mountain biking is very popular in the world, and because of its location, the Bike Park is often visited by tourists from Vienna, Graz and Budapest, as well as from all over the world. This is definitely a place where you can take a short break and drink some beer, coffee or have a snack in the gondola center.
The time when the trails can be used is from 09:00 to 16:00.
Daily tickets from Monday to Thursday are 22 eur for adults, 18 eur for youth
on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, tickets for adults are 34 eur and for young people 23 eur.
On weekends, the Bike Park is much more frequented.
