It includes nearly 1,000 artists, creators, and contributors. The theater successfully resisted time, with a couple of renovations, it remained in its full splendor as it was before. Renovations took place during 1978. The large hall was added in 1994, and the old hall was renovated in 2003. The theater is made up of buildings that make up the complex of the Slovenian National Theater and occupies a wonderful location in Maribor, in the city center. The location suits this building from the 19th century. Perhaps, stylistically, not all the buildings fit together, because some of them were not intended to be a theater, but over time they were combined into a stunning public cultural institution.
Maribor had its first theater building in 1784 at 30 Vetrinjska street, on the first floor, and this was discovered during the renovation of this building in 2009. This is a theater that attracts a large number of visitors both because of its history, architecture, arrangement, and because of the interesting programs it offers.
