Istanbul:

Emirgan Park

Emirgan Park

Istanbul is known for its beautiful parks and nature, and when tulips or tulips are mentioned, the first association is Emirgan Park. An incredible sight of colors during the flowering of this flower, in early spring. If you are staying in Istanbul in April, you must visit Emirgran Park and feel the floral magic located on the shores of the Bosphorus. The size of the park is about 325,000 square meters. The park used to be private property, but today it is a public park open to all visitors. About 270 types of tulips are planted in the park, and the total number of tulips that can be seen in this park is 3.5 million every year. An incredible sight of colors like you've never seen before.

Apart from tulips, there are other plants hiding in the park that give the whole charm to this place for walking and enjoying. Willows, lindens, cypresses are just some of the trees in the park. Also, the lake located in the park further sets it apart from the others, and the beautiful view of the Bosphorus contributes to even greater delight.

The park is suitable for walking, but also for those who like sports - there is a well-maintained running track. Even the little ones will find their own adventure in the park on the children's playgrounds installed in the park.

If you are a fan of picnics in nature, Emigran Park offers the possibility for that as well, and if you prefer to sit in a restaurant or cafe, Emigran Park contains several of them that are very pleasant. Tulips are part of Turkey's tradition, so a festival dedicated to tulips is organized in Emirgan Park, mostly at the end of April. The tulip festival is represented in other parks in Istanbul in the same period.

If you are a professional photographer or just an amateur who likes photography, you can enter the contest for the most beautiful picture of tulips from the park and win one of the prizes. During the festival, side cultural and artistic events are organized that make the festival richer and more diverse.
