Broadway Theatre or simply Broadway is an important New York landmark where theatrical performances are presented in the 41 professional theatres, each with 500 or more seats. Broadway is a wide boulevard that stretches from Bronx to Westchester borough. There are many squares that are actually theatres outdoor theatres, such as Times Square. During colonization, the Broadway road, also known as the Theatre Mile, was the shortest way from one to the other side of the island.

The majority of performances on the boulevard are musicals, for which New York is popular, and they are what gives this city its soul. To visit New York and not see at least one musical would be a shame. Many internationally renowned plays, such as “Chicago”, “Mamma Mia”, Shakespeare’s plays have been performed there. Broadway is a dream of many theatre actors and artists.
Along Broadway you may see small but also famous artists promoting their plays, dressed in magical suits. They gladly take pictures with tourists, or just dance, sing and act in the street, and thus show their acting skills.

There are many options for buying tickets for plays or musicals. You can buy tickets by phone through two operators: Telecharge - (800) 432-7250 and Ticketmaster - (866) 870-2717. You can buy tickets online or you can simply show up at the ticket office.

Price tickets go from $20 to $175. The average price is ~ $50. Students and retirees are entitled to discounts.
