The Strawberry Fields

Strawberries Fields - Famous singer and songwriter John Lennon was assassinated in front of the Dakota building, New York, where he used to live. John Lennon is not buried – instead, he was cremated, and his wife, Yoko Ono, scattered the ashes of Lennon’s body in Central Park. A few year following his death, a monument commemorating this music star was built – millions of fans visit this place annually, leaving flowers or a small gift.

It is named after the Beatles' song "Strawberry Fields Forever". Not far away, there is the Dakota building where Lennon used to live. John Lennon was an English musician, composer and the guitarists of the Beatles from Liverpool. His creative career consists of political activism, art, acting and writing. John was the 20th century’s icon, and his songs are everybody’s favorites.
