Apple pie - This is a recipe for the famous traditional English apple pie. It is definitely Britain’s favorite dessert.
Ingridients
For the crust:
300g regular flour
A pinch os salt
175g brown sugar
200g unsalted butter, and a bit to grease the pan
For the filling:
450 peeled apples, ground to 1cm pieces
50g brown sugar
1 tbs regular flour
1 pinch of ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 180ᴼC. Place the flour, salt and sugar into a large bowl and mix. Taking a couple cubes of butter, incorporate into the mixture. Rub butter into the mixture until resembling crumbs. Place the fruit into a large bowl and pour in sugar, flour and cinnamon. Mix until combined, paying attention to keeping the fruit intact. Butter your baking tray. Add in the fruit to the bottom of the tray, adding the crumbs on top. Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes until the crumbs turn golden btown. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream. There’s your perfect apple pie!
