Bacon and cabbage is a great winter dish you will truly enjoy preparing and eating at home.
- 1 head of cabbage
- 110g smoked bacon, cleaned and cut into cubes
- 55g butter
- 85ml dry white wine
- 2 spoons freshly chopped parsley
- 2 spoons fennel seeds
- 2 spoons cream
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
Melt the butter in a large pot. Add bacon, fry for 3-4 minutes. Add the cabbage and mix. Add the wine and spices. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, until the cabbage softens. Add the fennel seeds, parsley and cream and serve.
