The Triple Bridge

The Triple Bridge

Tromostovje (Triple Bridge) is a stone bridge composed of three bridges from 1842, built on the site of a medieval bridge that connected the countries of northwestern Europe with the Balkans and southeastern Europe. Plečnik added two more pedestrian bridges to the central bridge between 1929 and 1932 which was used for vehicles before that, and thus created a unique bridge that adorns Ljubljana today and makes it even more attractive to tourists.

The impressive architecture of the bridge is characterized by massive stone and lamps placed on it, and its 20m wide space will make your walk a real pleasure.
They are located on Preseren Square, on the river Ljubljanica and were renovated in 1992. This is a pedestrian zone that you have to cross several times while you are in Ljubljana.
