The City Park

The City Park

The annual ticket for the visit to this house is 25 euros per person.City Park or State Park in Vienna is one of the beautifully arranged parks that embellish the Austrian metropolis.  Stadtpark or City or State Park is located in the very city centre and is one colourful and green oasis. This is the biggest park in the city centre. The citizens of Vienna, along with visitors, love to spend their time here. When it was opened, in 1862, back then it was the first public Viennese park , bearing in mind that all the others were royal parks.

The Wienfluss is a river in Vienna that split the park in half, and over that river there are beautiful romantic bridges. There is one of the older bridges there, built in 1857, which is called the Caroline Bridge. The park takes up to 65000 square meters, and there are green meadows there, colourful flowers and walking paths. What attracts visitors, apart from the park’s beauty and peace, are the statues dedicated to numerous famous people from rich Viennese culture. In the park, there is a gilded statue of Johann Strauss, and here you can often see many artists who play the famous melodies of classical music.

A romantic building, surrounded by trees of different colours, is located in the park. It was built in 1867, and today many concerts of classical music are held there
