Miami:

The Bayfront Park

The Bayfront Park

Yet another beautiful and popular park in Miami is Bayfront Park, located downtown Miami. It was founded in 1896, meaning it is one of historical parks and the first park that was put to public use. At the time, it was seen as a green field where baseball or some other sports would be played. Over time, it was used for various events and sports competitions. Although it had a small area at the time, today it expands on 32 hectares.

The park is an enticing place for all ages. You can take a walk on beautifully decorated pedestrian lanes, a few of which are winding, watch the fountain, to spend time on the beach, or to simply enjoy in green fields or visit an event held in the park – there are two designated places for such purpose. The park is also known for a waterfall which dates back to 1926. There are many sculptures in the park made by Japanese-American sculptor, Isamu Noguchi.

Families will love the playgrounds, one of the has slides, a pirate ship and many sculptures shaped like animals – children under 12 adore these. Also, there is a giant wheel in the park which offers an amazing view of Miami – you should not miss the Sky View anywhere in the world, especially not in Miami. It costs 20 dollars.

There are many restaurants and café-bars near the park – they are very attractive with unique menus, and there is a mall not far away as well. Pleasure is guaranteed!
