Lummus Park is one of the most visited parks in Miami, with decorated green areas, tall palm trees and fine sand on the beach. The park is very popular and attractive, and even though many people visit it, you will for sure find a spot to relax in peace. The promenade is beautiful, and there are many restaurants and hotels that serve all kinds of food – from hamburgers and sushi to various international fast food specialties.
Lummus is an ideal place to take a walk, to ride a bike, to skateboard, to rollerblade, as well as for all beach volleyball enthusiasts. It also has two outdoor gyms. There are safeguard houses on the beach – you can climb them and make a selfie during a magnificent sunset. There will be many visitors since early morning – some of the come for the first coffee of the day, some of them bring their children to play in the park (there is an area for children from ages 2-5, and another one for children ages 5 to 12), or they simply come to take a walk and enjoy beautiful landscape in this green beach zone.
You can rent sunbeds and parasols at any time of the day. Lummus Park hosts the Nautica South Beach Triathlon every year, which includes swimming, cycling and running.
