Miami:

The Haulover park

The Haulover park

Haulover Park is yet another must-visit place in Miami. It expands on 72 hectares, and it was designed by William L. Philips. It is considered one of the oldest parks, and its beach one of the most beautiful ones. The jewel of Miami-Dade was created in 1948, and it is known for a nudist beach that was opened in 1991. Of course, not the whole beach is intended for nudists, but a part of it is. Beaches are like heaven on Earth – white sand beaches with palm tree lines and a vast ocean that is ideal for surfing.

You can also rent a parasol and a sunbed, and there is always one of the hosts who will direct you where you want to go. We do not even need to mention that the quality of photographs you are going to take there is magazine-like – the ocean, the horizon, the sand. There are also many amusement and recreational spots in the park. If you like to fish, there is a place for that. There are tables for picnicking across the park, you can play volleyball, go skateboarding, there are fitness areas, you can rent a bike.

There are also football pitches, tennis and basketball courts, a golf course etc. One part of the park is dedicated for flying kites, and many visitors come here just for that reason, to pain the sky with colorful kites of different shapes and sizes. Children and adults who feel young will love it. There is also a marine near the park. Even though the park is opened every day, it is most crowded on weekends.

  • Working hours, from sunrise to sunset, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • The price of parking on weekdays for cars is 5 USD, on weekends 7 USD.
