The hotel restaurant Speilsalen or Hall with Mirrors, very luxurious looking with lavish furniture, beautiful chandeliers and walls adorned with large mirrors years ago was used for countless conversations with good meals. However, today this restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Trondheim and beyond, with the highest quality cuisine. This is the first restaurant signed by Christopher Davidsen, at the Britannia Hotel, winner of the 2017 Bocuse d'Or silver medal and world champion among chefs.

In Speilsalen you will experience an unusual gastronomic experience, you will easily indulge in a delicious trip in the best ingredients of Norway. Chief sommelier Henrik Dahl Jahnsen is a four-time Norwegian champion for winemakers and will make sure the food gets the perfect accompaniment in the glass.

Every Saturday Speilsalen invites you to join their lunches with a special menu - with seafood of 4 types of dishes, based on fantastic local ingredients and a glass of champagne from 12:00. Perfect taste is the goal of every dish in this restaurant, prepared with a lot of attention and respect, from hand-picked ingredients.

Christopher Davidsen: "I think that Nordic dishes are a bit dark and gloomy. I want to make them lighter and brighter, without hiding food under a pile of herbs".
Speilsalen was awarded a Michelin star in February 2020, and it is one of four restaurants at the newly renovated Britannia Hotel.
