A cruise on Skadar Lake is unavoidable in order to enjoy all the natural beauties of this area. The best time to cruise the lake is from May to September when you can see a white water lily on the surface of the lake, the so-called water lily, and driving between the "fields" of water lilies on the lake is an unforgettable experience. Skadar Lake is home to the pelican bird, of which there are currently 178 and are a protected species, and the curly pelican of Skadar Lake, which is also its trademark, attracts the most attention.
This species of pelican lives only on Skadar Lake, and it is a very rare, peaceful and interesting bird. In addition to the rich flora and fauna, activities that attract the attention of visitors are hunting and fishing in this area. Skadar Lake, as one of the largest in Europe, is certainly a place that would be a shame to bypass. The lake is large, rich, calm and above all very interesting. The Belgrade-Bar railway passes by the most beautiful parts of the lake. Spending the whole day on this lake is by no means a waste of time, but you can really see the beautiful nature and learn a lot of new things.
